Before You Go.
here are some expert tips to ensure your service
is smooth sailing:
IS YOUR HAIR LONG ENOUGH?

Your hair must be at least 1/4" long (5 weeks since your last wax or 4 weeks since you last shaved). Coming in for a wax too soon may leave you with some unwanted stubble.

EXFOLIATE.

Taking a warm shower and gently exfoliating the skin prior to service will provide an easier exit of the hair follicles, ensuring smoother results.

REDUCE PAIN.

Take a Tylenol 30-45 minutes prior to service to dull the nerves and ease the pain.

DON'T SWEAT IT.

Avoid heat related activities such as hot baths, hot yoga, steam rooms and tanning immediately before service.

STEER CLEAR OF STIMULANTS.

Avoid caffeine and alcohol immediately before service. Stimulants in the system can cause the skin to be extra sensitive.

NO SKIN-SENSITIVE MEDICATIONS.

Do not wax if you are on any skin sensitive medications such as

Accutane or Retin-A. Skin sensitive medications may cause the skin

to lift.

KEEP US INFORMED.

Let us know if it's your first time waxing, if you're pregnant, if it's that time of the month, or if you've had previous adverse reactions to waxing. This will allow us to cater your service to your needs.

Before You Go.

Aftercare.
here are some aftercare tips to keep your skin smooth & happy until your next visit:
IT'S NORMAL.

You may experience some redness which usually subsides within

24-48 hours. If it was your first time waxing and/or have coarse hair, you may experience more irritation than usual due to the hair follicles being very rooted. Apply Calm Down Relief Cream to reduce irritation and soothe the skin.

LET IT BREATHE.

After a wax, your pores just wants to breathe. Wear loose, comfortable clothing that won't rub against and/or irritate the skin.

KEEP YOUR PORES CLEAN.

It is imperative to keep your freshly waxed pores CLEAN for at least
24 hours after your service. Any sweat and/or bacteria that enters the pores may cause an adverse reaction. The following are some common activities to avoid immediately after waxing:

  • NO  heat related activities (hot baths, hot yoga, steam rooms)

  • NO  excessive exercise/sweating

  • NO  tanning

  • NO  swimming in chlorinated pools

  • NO  pedicures/foot soaks (for lower leg waxes)

AVOID SHAVING.

You'll have the urge to pick up the razor, but don't do it. Regular, consistent waxing will lead to regrowth that is softer and sometimes even more sparse.

ELIMINATE INGROWNS.

To prevent those pesky, painful ingrown hairs, it's important to start exfoliating your skin about a week after your wax. Use a gentle exfoliating washcloth daily (such as our all-natural Buff Stuff Exfoliating Cloth) to rid of any skin build-up that may be blocking your pores and preventing new hair growth from coming through. Our Smooth Roller Ingrown-hair Treatment can also be applied as needed to effectively treat ingrowns and/or bumps.

BOOK YOUR NEXT VISIT.

For best results, book your next appointment in 5-6 weeks. Hair
grows in different cycles, so you'll want to avoid coming in too soon, to ensure you're not left with any unwanted stubble.
